Nathaniel Chalobah Childhood Story:

For Biography staters, he bears the full name – Nathaniel Nyakie Chalobah. The English professional footballer was born on the 12th day of December 1994 to Sierra Leonean parents – in the country’s capital and Port city of Freetown.

They were all born – all thanks to the blissful marital union between his father and a super beautiful mother – pictured here.

Growing-Up Years:

Nathanial spent his childhood years alongside his brothers, who go by their names – Trevoh Chalobah (the most popular) and Paul.

He also has sisters – whom he is very fond of (we have a video about that). Nate spent the earliest of his childhood years in Africa.

When he was seven, Nathaniel Chalobah’s parents thought it was wise to leave Sierra Leone for England. Upon reaching the United Kingdom, the family agreed to settle in the Borough of Lambeth (inner London).

Young Nathaniel spent the rest of his childhood years in Gipsy Hill. As Wikipedia says, this is a small leafy and hilly neighbourhood in London – spanning through the southern parts of the city’s Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.

The Chalobah’s History with Crystal Palace:

At the beginning of the 2020/2021 Premier League season, we noticed that Nathaniel’s brother (Trevoh) got booed by supporters of the Eagles.

That surprised us, and it led our team to go into research to trace the history of the Chalobah brothers and Crystal Palace.

The result of our research showed some truths. First is a fact that Nathaniel Chalobah’s family (upon relocating from Africa) settled in a neighbourhood dominated by Crystal Palace supporters.

Now, here map below – proves us right. Selhurst Park (home ground of Crystal Palace) is just 11 minutes away from South London’s Gipsy Hill neighbourhood.

As recalled earlier, this is where Nate and his siblings (Trevoh and Paul, etc) spent most of their childhood.

Here is the evidence. His parents settled for Gipsy Hill, which is 11 minutes away from Crystal Palace's stadium.

How Football Started for the Chalobah Brothers:

It is common knowledge that South London is the capital of football. For Nathaniel and his brother Trevoh, the love for the beautiful game started right there in their neighbourhood – precisely in a CAGE.

The Chalobah brothers discovered this beautiful cage (when they were young). They found out that it was the most popular playground for kids – who loved soccer.

Back in the day, Nate and Trevoh would spend day and night horning their skills in this place they call their second home – the CAGE.

This CAGE made both Nathaniel and Trevoh. They found their destiny there.
This CAGE made both Nathaniel and Trevoh. They found their destiny there.

As children, the Chalobah brothers had nothing in life to worry about. The only thing that bordered on them was the need to outsmart their friends in cage football. They call this place their little world – where they built their life around.
