Regarding his family’s football lineage, Vitinha’s grandfather, António (“Paulista”) played football and became a coach in the 70s. Vitor Ferreira, his Dad, played decades later (in the late 1990s). Also to note, Vitinha’s uncle (Vasco Ferreira) played in his Dad’s generation. This also goes to some of Vitinha’s relatives – his cousin Pisko – a female futsal athlete.

Vitinha Football story began at the age of 7 when he played for schools of the Desportivo das Aves school. Thanks to a 7-a-side World Cup tournament (where he impressed), he got to the books of Casa do Benfica – a branch of Benfica (not the actual Benfica). Because he was thin, he didn’t find the means to progress. Vitinha forced a move to FC Porto. From 2011 onwards, he pledged his allegiance to FC Porto and not Benfica, his childhood club.

In his youth, Vitinha was part of the FC Porto Golden Generation, who defeated Chelsea youth to win the 18/19 UEFA Youth League. He also had an early International Success after winning the best breakthrough player at the 2019 Toulon Tournament.

Following an early Wolves loan move in his professional career, Vitinha returned to FC Porto with a shine. An impressive 2021/2022 FC Porto campaign earned him a move to PSG in June 2022. By signing with the French Giants, Vitinha has achieved the dream to play with Mbappé, Messi and Neymar”.
