After facing rejection from Reims, it was an opportunity for Marseille, who has been part of Anguissa’s scouting, to make a move. Interestingly, Valenciennes wanted to sign him for a four-year contract, but he chose Marseille. 

Wanting to be in Marseille was not enough. He needed to convince President Vincent Labrune and their coach, Bielsa. Anguissa was hired, and for two weeks, he worked additional hours with Diego Reyes, one of Bielsa’s assistants. Finally, after two weeks of file compilation, the Cameroonian was given a jersey number.

According to Durand, “He signed a contract with a relatively low wage.” Frank and his team wanted one thing, which was to train with the first team.
