When the youngster won that trophy for Beerschot, it was evident that he had prospects of becoming a national star.

Recognizing his remarkable quality, a host of the biggest clubs in the country began the quest to convince his parents to have their son sign for them.

In the year 2012, at the age of 10, R.S.C. Anderlecht became the lucky team that signed Jeremy. It was at the same age of 10 that the club registered Amadou Onana after his family migrated from Senegal to Belgium.

Considering he was still schooling, the club offered him a scholarship at their boarding facility named Anderlecht’s Purple Talents boarding school.

At the age of 15, he had begun getting transfer offers. He had a choice between 5 – 6 of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Dutch clubs, but especially Liverpool, wanted him. The Reds, in particular, pulled Doku sleeves at the beginning of the 2017/2018 season.
