The youngster started his career defending for Zadar, the club from his hometown. In 2010, the Fast Rising Goalkeeper was promoted to the U17 youth side of his hometown club, NK Zadar. It only took Dominik Livakovic two seasons to become one of the most attractive young goalkeepers in Croatia.

On the 1st of July 2012, the youngster moved a step closer to joining the biggest club in the country (Dinamo Zagreb).
