From his first year until when he completed his education at Saint Joseph Regional High School, the youngster (similar to Caoimhin Kelleher) maintained the accolade of being a standout goalkeeper. Moving on from high school, Matt enrolled at Fairfield University for his collegiate career.
Before he began life at Fairfield University, the local papers acknowledged his Goalkeeping achievements. Matt Turner Biography – Rise to Fame:
After receiving an invitation and having a successful trial, the former Fairfield University Athlete proceeded to sign a professional contract with an MLS club. Matt Turner joined New England Revolution on the 3rd day of March 2016.
At the time he joined, Bobby Shuttleworth and Brad Knighton were ahead of him in terms of selection. In other to gather experience and fight for a starting place, Matt Turner agreed to go on loan, and he joined Richmond Kickers – an American professional soccer club.
