The story of Ralf Rangnick’s career began in England, where he studied at the University of Sussex, Brighton. Staring with the English non-league, he then went on to play for lower division clubs in Germany, before ending a career that was nothing to write home about.

As a manager, Rangnick achieved lots of success – especially in football tactics. The World credit him for the development of a special coaching tactic called Gegenpressing. This invention has made him become the godfather of modern German Football.
