Little is known about Danny Rose’s mother, Angela Rankine who was once assaulted alongside her son as well as his uncles, Mark and Hugh Rankine, during a family Night out.
The incident happened in Doncaster Town when Danny and his Uncles were asked to leave a cafe because diners complained they were making too much noise – though they deny being boisterous, police brutality was the order of the day.
Recounting the brutality moments later, Angela Rankine revealed that;
“Danny was pushed several times and when i asked the bouncer to stop he called the police…I hadn’t done anything but they pulled me to a police van and handcuffed me.
What we can’t understand is why they needed to use gas spray on Danny when I was already being held by three coppers. It should only be used when officers are under threat.”
About Danny Rose Brother:
Danny has a younger brother known as Mitch Rose, who currently plays for Grimsby Town. Aside from Mitch, Danny has another brother known as Mitchell Rose. Both Mitch, Mitchell and Danny are cousins to Michael Rankine.

Did you know?… Danny Rose once sparked speculations regarding his future at Tottenham by making an appearance with red-coloured hair.
It didn’t take long before football enthusiasts speculated about future moves for the football genius to Manchester United or Liverpool, a development that caused worries for Spurs fans.
However, Danny took out time to clarify his appearance by noting that
“I did it because Roses are Red”
The period marked the beginning of Danny’s transfer speculations, as suggested by fans. It didn’t take long before Rose declared his interest to join another club and changed his hair’s outlook from ‘roses’ to black dreadlocks.

England’s left-back Danny, once has a great relationship with Tottenham’s Manager, Pochettino. This is why he is referred to as the “gaffer’s son”.
The England international says he considers himself to be the teacher’s pet because he spends more time in Pochettino’s office than any of his teammates. Confirming the fact to Evening Standard, Danny revealed that;
“I visit the gaffer’s office quite often and have over the years developed a great relationship with him. We speak quite a lot.”
Battles With Depression:
Rose once suffered depression that was triggered by an injury that saw him miss the action on the football pitch for over eight months.
In addition to that, his uncle committed suicide during the period while his mother was racially abused. To cap it all, someone nearly shot Danny’s brother in the face.
So great were the trials and afflictions of the period. It made Danny seek professional help. By securing the services of a Psychologist.
He was diagnosed with depression. This is a mental condition that he opened up about during a press briefing of the England Squad ahead of the 2018 world cup in Russia.
“It’s no secret that I’ve been through a testing time at Tottenham this season.
which led to me seeing a psychologist.
and I was diagnosed with depression.
which nobody knows about, and I had to get away from Tottenham.
Revealing other issues that didn’t help improve his medical condition at the time, Danny disclosed that;
Off the field, there have been other incidents – in August, my mum was racially abused back home in Doncaster.
She was very angry and upset about it, and then someone came to the house and nearly shot my brother in the face. It was a testing time.”
However, Danny has put all behind him and is fully back on the field of play to give fans the impressive performances that they longed for during his injury-led absence.
