Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham was born on the 2nd day of October 1997 in Camberwell, the United Kingdom, by his parents, Mr and Mrs Tamaraebi Bakumo.
Tammy Abraham’s father hails from Bayelsa State, Nigeria. He migrated to Britain in order to set a better future for himself and his family.
Tammy’s life started ticking in the direction of football right from his early childhood time. Although, he started off as a drama boy in school before engaging in football (full time).

Abraham joined Chelsea at the U8 level and progressed through the club’s academy system.
It was Chelsea who finally won his youth signature after a huge tussle with Arsenal which is a boyhood club to Tammy.
He snubbed Arsenal to join Chelsea in a bid to follow Didier Drogba’s footsteps. He had an early encounter with the African legend on his first day of joining the club.
According to Tammy, “The first player I came across was Didier Drogba. I remember walking outside the academy and I was cold.
He saw me outside and picked me up in his car and dropped me at the training ground. I was eight or nine.
As soon as I got out of the car I was looking for my teammates to say, ‘That’s Drogba!’ but I didn’t see anyone!
Tammy was part of the Chelsea youth team which recorded back to back triumphs in both the UEFA Youth League and the FA Youth Cup in 2015 and 2016.
In the 2016 edition of the UEFA Youth League, Abraham pitched in with a return of eight goals in nine matches, making him the tournament’s second-highest goal scorer.
He carried his form over into the FA Youth Cup and netted the winning goal in Chelsea’s victory over Manchester City.
During the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons Abraham scored 74 goals in 98 matches across all competitions for Chelsea’s various youth teams.

Tammy Abraham Biography – Allegiance to England:
The Nigerian football federation president, Amaju Pinnick, once stated he could convince Abraham — who he described as “like a son” — to switch allegiances from playing for England to Nigeria.
At first, the London-born Abraham, who was at that time raining goals for Bristol, did NOT rule out the chance of picking the Super Eagles.
He said: “I have to keep doing well for Bristol City for England and Nigeria should keep fighting for me.
I’m Nigerian as well so it is possible to play for Nigeria. I have to keep focused on playing here and whatever happens, will happen.”
On 21 September 2017, Pinnick claimed that Abraham had switched his allegiance to Nigeria. Abraham issued a statement the same day denying the claim and reaffirming his availability for England selection.
He disappointed Nigeria and decided to stay with England even though he saw great competition in the team, unlike the Nigerian team.

In January 2017, Abraham was involved in a motor vehicle accident while on loan at Bristol City.
At the time of the accident, he was driving without a licence or insurance and was summoned to court as a result.
Tammy Abraham made sure he amended his wages with Chelsea by signing a £50k-a-week Chelsea contract before joining Swansea on loan.
Abraham confirmed the deal on social media, posting an image of himself and putting pen to paper.
The post was subsequently deleted, as advised by his father. According to sources, the contract was to amend financial negotiations with Swansea, who pays him the same £50k- amount per week.
