Eric Jeremy Edgar Dier was born on the 15th day of January 1994 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom by Louise Dier (mother) and Jeremy Dier (father) who are both rich.
Eric’s parents relocated from Sussex, England to the Iberian Peninsula in Portugal when little Eric was seven years old. The migration came as a result of his father’s job as an executive on the tennis side of Dunlop’s sports manufacturing business.
This also happened at a time when his mother was offered a job of being in charge of every hospitality programme at the UEFA Euro 2004 which was held at Portugal.
Ideally, it is pertinent to say that Eric grew up in Portugal with his parents and five siblings. Dier spent a year living in the Algarve region before moving to Lisbon. In 2010, his parents returned to England while he remained in Portugal living at Sporting CP’s academy.

While playing football at the International Preparatory School in Lisbon, Dier’s footballing ability was spotted by his P.E. teacher Miguel Silva, who referred him to Sporting’s scouts at the age of eight.
Dier signed professional terms with Sporting in April 2010. The Portuguese club was lucky enough to beat the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United & Tottenham Hotspur to his signature.
Eric Dier came through the youth ranks at Sporting CP where he made the reserve.
Subsequently, he was loaned to Everton in January 2011. Sporting CP’s official website stated that the loan was “an opportunity for the young Dier to grow in a more competitive and demanding environment”.
