LifeBogger presents the Full Story of a Football Genius best known by the Nickname; ‘the Screamer’.
Our Christian Eriksen Childhood Story, including his Untold Biography Facts, brings you a full account of notable events from his childhood time right to the moment he achieved fame.
The analysis of the Dane involves his life story before fame, family life and many OFF and ON-Pitch little-known facts about him.
Yes, everyone knows about his abilities, but few consider Christian Eriksen’s Biography, which is quite interesting. Now, without further ado, let us begin.
Christian Eriksen Childhood Story – Early Life:
For Biography starters, Christian Dannemann Eriksen was born on Valentine’s day, 14th of February 1992, in Middelfart, Denmark to Dorthe Eriksen (mother) and Thomas Eriksen (father). His birth date makes him a special child.
He grew up as a loner who had dreams and was curious to know what the future held for him. Despite parental support, young Christian could handle a lot on his own.
Christian Eriksen Biography – Career Start:
Young Eriksen started playing football in his hometown, Middelfart, before his third birthday.
Starting football at a tender age also got Louise Eriksen, his kid sister, into liking the beautiful game.
Louise, who now plays for the Denmark female national team (as of the time of writing) was fond of sticking with her big brother.
Christian played at Middelfart G&BK from 1992 to 2005. In 2005, he switched to Odense Boldklub, who competed in the Danish youth championships.
His team lost the semi-final against Brøndby. Christian was named “Best Technical Player” of the tournament in an award. This led to European scouts chasing after him at a young age.
Christian Eriksen Early Life Story – The Trials:
At the age of 15, he was scouted by several European clubs and was invited to travel to 3 countries (Spain, Italy and England) to have trials with Barcelona, Milan and Chelsea.
Christian never rested right from the day he got this invitation. He found time to practice on his own, even after spending time training with his teammates. Below is a picture of him training on the water.
Christian also spent days training and having sleepless nights watching videos of greats like Ryan Giggs, Zidane and Beckham in a bid to learn from them. All these were done to enable him to perform well in his trials.
Unfortunately, the worst happened. Both Barcelona, Milan and Chelsea FC failed to accept him.
Eriksen’s trial became a failure. However, this was not the end for the young lad. It only marked the beginning.
Christian Eriksen Biography – The Green Light:
It was Ajax who gave him the green light. They signed him in 2008. After playing for Ajax for two years, young Christian made his debut for the Denmark national team in March 2010 and was the youngest player of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
The post-2010 world cup era saw a great boost for the young star.
In 2011, Eriksen was named Danish Football Player of the Year, Dutch Football Talent of the Year, Ajax Talent of the Year (Marco van Basten Award), and made the UEFA Euro U-21 Team of the Tournament.
He also won the Eredivisie with Ajax in 2010–11, 2011–12 and in 2012–13 before departing for Tottenham Hotspur in August 2013 for a fee of around £11.5 million.
As I update Christian Eriksen’s Biography, he plays alongside Christian Nørgaard at Brentford. The rest, as they say, is now history.
Christian Eriksen Family Life:
Thomas Eriksen and Dorte Eriksen are proud parents of the Denmark star seed, Christian Eriksen. Ideally, Christian comes from a middle-class family background.
Christian Eriksen’s parents live in Middelfart, Denmark, where Christian grew up. Both Thomas and Dorthe spend most of their time together reading newspapers about their son’s escapades in Europe.
The father of Christian Eriksen has a strong hatred for Chelsea. This is due to the fact that Chelsea once labelled Eriksen as ‘too weak and not that great’, a reason he had an unsuccessful trial with the west London club.
According to Thomas Eriksen, “Chelsea still wanted him to have a third trial – but I said no to that. After rejecting him twice, I felt the club was not the right place for him.
The English mentality with Chelsea does not work, they are completely cold with the way they deal with youth players.
The training facilities are good – but kids should not go there.’ These were the warning shots fired by Thomas Eriksen.
While his father protects his career interest, Christian’s mum sees to his well-being and that of the family. He is so fond of her.
Sister:
Christian Eriksen is five years older than Louise Eriksen, his one and only kid sister. Louise Eriksen recently got her first call-up for Denmarks Woman National Team.
She plays the same position as Christian Eriksen. Women’s coach Nils Nielsen says she has similar abilities as Christian but believes she is better on the defensive play.
Just as he does for his son, Thomas Eriksen also looks out for his daughter’s career.
Relationship Life:
Sabrina Kvist Jensen is at the time of writing, a girlfriend to Christian Eriksen.
Christian Eriksen, while enjoying his time at Tottenham, once admitted that English football is ruining his social life with Sabrina.
Yes, without a doubt, Eriksen is putting so much of his heart into Tottenham that he admits he struggles to find the time to go out with the love of his life, Sabrina Kvist Jensen.
He said: “I see so many players arrive in the Premier League with big ambitions, but this is the toughest competition in the world.
He continued…
“You have to learn how to cope physically and mentally. That is very tough for my girlfriend.
Of course, I would like to go out in the city with her and her friends, but it just doesn’t fit in with playing in England.
Every three or four days, I have to perform at the highest level, and despite that, I have big ambitions and dreams to be a success here.”
Eriksen added: “People think professional players have an easy job, that we train for two hours and then go home. It does not work like that.
To gear yourself up for the next match, you need to rest, sleep, eat really well, and look after your body.
Some players need a sports psychologist, but I don’t because I do everything by myself.”
Despite his complaint, Christian still squeezes out time to go out with Sabrina Kvist Jensen.
Personality:
The Dane has made football proud. Christian is a big example for younger national team stars like Mikel Damsgaard, amongst others.
“He is so special,” Pochettino told The Mirror about Eriksen. “We always call him ‘Golazo’ — because he is capable of scoring unbelievable goals.
The recognition from us is massive. He feels that we love him.”
Pochettino continued…
“It is true he is so quiet, so calm, he is a very relaxed person, but he loves football. He is a player that does not need too much feedback from the fans, the media, and the people outside.
