Editorial Guidelines
These guidelines set out the standards Lifebogger applies to every biography, profile and news story we publish. They apply to all our content, all our writers, and all our contributors — without exception.
Lifebogger publishes biographies of living people — footballers, athletes, and the families around them. That places a duty on us that ordinary entertainment publishing does not carry. A wrong date is an error. A wrong claim about someone’s family, health, relationship or finances can cause real harm to a real person.
These guidelines exist so that duty is written down rather than assumed. They tell our writers what we require before a claim reaches the page, what must be escalated to an editor, and what we do when we get something wrong. We publish them openly so our readers can hold us to them.
