Welcome to LifeBogger — the home of True Football Stories.

LifeBogger publishes the childhood stories and biography facts of professional footballers, managers and football personalities, alongside daily coverage of transfers, news and features. We cover the notable events in these lives from their earliest years to the point they became well known.

What We Publish

Our library falls into two groups:

• Childhood biographies — long-form profiles covering family background, early career, rise to fame, relationships and lesser-known facts. This archive dates back to 2016.
• Daily football coverage — transfers, news, gossip and features, published across multiple languages.

Our Mission

To be the digital source for footballers’ childhood stories and biographies — a repository that gives fans context about the players they watch every match day. It is not just about watching football, but reading it.

Editorial Standards

These are the standards we hold our published work to:

• Sourcing. Factual claims about a person’s life, career or transfer status are based on public reporting, official club and league communications, or the subject’s own public statements. Most of our articles carry a list of the sources they draw on, and we are working towards all of them doing so. Where a claim is contested or unconfirmed, we say so in the text rather than presenting it as settled.
• Speculation is labelled. Transfer rumours and gossip are identified as such. We do not present an unconfirmed report as a completed deal.
• Public figures in their public capacity. Our subject is football — what happens on the pitch, in transfer negotiations, and in the careers of the people who play and manage the game.
• Images. We use licensed, permitted or fair-use editorial imagery and credit sources where required.

What We Are Working On

We would rather tell readers what we are still fixing than claim a standard we do not yet meet. Three things are in progress:

• Verifying figures and records. Fees, valuations, currency conversions, appearance counts and honours should be checked against primary records before publication, and superlative claims — “first ever”, “record”, “youngest” — verified rather than assumed. We are putting automated checks in place for this. Until they are, a figure in an article may not match the source listed beneath it; where you find one, please report it and we will correct it.
• Narrowing our coverage of private matters. We are reviewing our published work to remove material about people’s health, and about the private relationships of individuals who are not themselves public figures, and to keep such material out of what we publish next.
• Reviewing the biography archive. Our 2016–2024 archive was written by contributors over several years and imported to this site in August 2026. It has not yet been re-checked against current sources. We intend to review it and will describe what we have done here as that work progresses, rather than in advance of it.

How Our Content Is Produced

We want to be straightforward about our production process, because we think readers are entitled to know it.

LifeBogger uses automated tools to draft and translate a portion of our daily news, transfer and gossip coverage. Articles produced this way are generated from public reporting and published under the byline of the editorial account responsible for that language edition.

Our childhood biography archive was written by human contributors between 2016 and 2024.

Automation lets a small team cover a global sport in many languages. It also carries risk: automated drafting can misstate a figure, misread a date, or repeat an error from a source, and it does so without a person noticing. That is a real limitation of how a portion of this site is produced, not a hypothetical one. Where we find such mistakes we correct them under the policy below, and we would rather a reader knew how an article was made than assumed otherwise.

Corrections Policy

We correct errors of fact promptly.

• If you spot an inaccuracy, email [email protected] with the article URL and the specific claim in question. Include a source if you have one.
• Substantive corrections — anything that changes the meaning or factual substance of an article — are noted at the foot of the article with the date of the change.
• Minor fixes to spelling, grammar or formatting are made without a note.
• Where an article’s central claim proves unfounded, we remove or retract it rather than quietly amend it, and say that we have done so.
• Subjects of our coverage, or their representatives, may request a correction or the removal of private material through the same address and will receive a reply.

Translations

LifeBogger publishes in multiple languages. Non-English editions are produced with machine translation assistance. We aim for accuracy in every edition, but where a translated article and its English counterpart differ in a factual detail, the English text should be treated as the reference version. Translation errors can be reported to the same address as corrections.

Ownership and Funding

LifeBogger is owned and operated by Life Bogger.

The site is funded by advertising and affiliate arrangements. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no involvement in, or influence over, our editorial content, and no say in what we cover or how we cover it. Where a link earns us a commission, that does not affect the editorial judgement of the article containing it.
