Marco Verratti was born to his mother, Lidia Cremonese (a housekeeper) and his father, Fabrizio Verratti (A Carpenter and former amateur footballer).

Little grew up with his parents and maternal grandmother, who also took care of him because she loved him very much.

His start to football was motivated by his father and elder brother, who pushed him to a career they themselves failed to succeed in it.

Little Marco was destined to correct the mistake they made. He started out his career in his local Italian village, Manoppello.

It didn’t take long before Marco was deemed the best midfielder in the whole of Manoppello.

He played there from 2001 to 2006 before moving to Pescara. His quick dribbling skills, response rate, confidence and ball control made up for his lack of stature.

He was the smallest footballer in the Serie D league. His true potential came out because of one man, his Idol.

In Marco’s words…“At that time, I had just started to train with the Pescara first team. I was shocked when my tactics and technique developed greatly.

This happened as I continually watched repeated videos of my Idol, Del Piero as he played for Juventus.

That was the moment when I realised that being a footballer was becoming a real job. In the past, I was doing it for fun.”

In fact, Del Piero was his hero, and Juve was his boyhood club. His childhood photo above reveals it all. The love for his idol transmitted serenity and calmness to Marco Veratti’s radiant personality.

 

Marco Verratti Untold Biography Facts – The Miracle:

Marco got a big lip when the biggest miracle of his life happened. In his words… “I was scared at first,” he admitted after seeing PSG‘s offer.

Marco continued…“That day (July 2012), I was playing for Pescara. I thought I would go to Juventus because it was my dream. 

In addition, just before, a friend had shown me a newspaper that said Marco had signed there! I even exclaimed: But how can it be official when I do not know anything?”

Both Inter, Juve and AC Milan circled him like sharks; after 19 years old Marco helped his club gain promotion to Serie B. When PSG, backed by Qatar Sports Investments, entered the bidding, there was only one winner.

Marco, who was 19, didn’t hesitate when he saw the PSG offer despite not knowing how to speak French. In fact, all the paper works were done in a week.

From Serie B to PSG’s team of A-listers, it’s fair to say Marco Verratti likes a challenge. That was his miracle.

Today, his town today tries to grab the merits of his success, even in his extended family. It’s either they wear his kind of shoe or put on putting on his shirt.

Marco Verratti Love life with Laura Zazzara:

Behind the veteran footballer, there exists a glamorous woman. Meet Laura Zazzara, girlfriend of Italian soccer player Marco Verratti.

Unlike many football Wags who follow and marry footballers for their monies, the beautiful Italian did not wait for her lover’s pockets to grow into millions of euros. She has been there right from day one of his struggles.

Laura and her boyfriend Marco have known each other since they were children. They began dating at the age of 16. The two lovebirds grew up in the same neighbourhood, just a few blocks away from each other.

Their long relationship has not just made them become lovers but best of friends, as seen in the picture below.

On March 12, 2014, Marco and his love of his youth welcomed their first child Tommaso. He is only three at the time of writing. Both Marco and Laura love the companion of Tommaso.

Marco and Laura still exhibit many of their Italian habits at their French home. In Marco’s words,…“My girlfriend buys French products and uses them in an Italian way.

In fact, we eat a little of both kitchens: a nice dessert, a good cheese. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Paris, we are spoiled for choice”.

Despite the status of her fiancé, Laura made it very important to continue her studies in France. She graduated with honours. She is even good at speaking French, thanks to her French classes.

Marco Verratti Family Life:

To start with, Marco comes from a middle-class Italian family background. His family status changed to a first-class background after his football investment paid off.

Unlike his elder brother, Marco looks very much like his father, Fabrizio Verratti in terms of physical appearance.

Fabrizio played as an amateur midfielder and retired in his 30s due to career frustrations. His career stopped at Chieti, which was at the Serie D level at that time.

After failing to succeed in football, Fabrizio Verratti went into carpentry. Marco his son helped his carpentry business with millions of Euros.

As of the time of writing, Fabrizio now has several carpentry factories with hundreds of workers. He is one of the leaders in custom types of furniture in Italy.

About Marco Verratti Mother:

Marco Veratti’s mother, Lidia Cremonese, is a home keeper. She is a funny and caring mother.

Lidia once followed her son Marco and his girlfriend Laura (both teenagers) to Paris after PSG called. She was instrumental in helping them to settle in France.

Before the PSG offer, Lidia Cremonese was surprised as to why her son did not choose any Italian club, especially Juve.

After hearing the PSG transfer news, she called him to say… “I thought, “Paris is not 20 km from home.”  

She said that because Marco Veratti has once found it difficult to leave Pescara in 2008 to another higher club which was just 30 km from his home.

She was overwhelmed after seeing her son play for PSG for the first time. In her words…

“Last night my heart filled me with joy. Seeing Marco in the field with that naturalness filled me with pride because, despite everything, he has remained the simple guy ever.” Marco Verratti’s mother, Lidia Cremonese.

About Marco Verratti Brother:

Stefano Veratti, pictured below, is Marco’s elder brother.

Just like his dad, Stefano also failed to progress in his football career, which ended up even more prematurely than his father.

Today, Stefano Veratti is into a big-time agriculture business, thanks to his little brother’s monies.

Stefano is known to have more than 80 hectares of land on the Italian plain. He is one of the largest Italian growers of wheat, corn and beets.

Marco Verratti Tattoo Facts:

As a footballer, Marco Verratti probably has the most tattoos on his arms. Unlike many star footballers, Marco prefers the coloured pattern tattoo. He is one footballer with the weirdest tattoo as seen below.
