Marco got a big lip when the biggest miracle of his life happened. In his words… “I was scared at first,” he admitted after seeing PSG‘s offer.
Marco continued…“That day (July 2012), I was playing for Pescara. I thought I would go to Juventus because it was my dream.
In addition, just before, a friend had shown me a newspaper that said Marco had signed there! I even exclaimed: But how can it be official when I do not know anything?”
Both Inter, Juve and AC Milan circled him like sharks; after 19 years old Marco helped his club gain promotion to Serie B. When PSG, backed by Qatar Sports Investments, entered the bidding, there was only one winner.
Marco, who was 19, didn’t hesitate when he saw the PSG offer despite not knowing how to speak French. In fact, all the paper works were done in a week.
From Serie B to PSG’s team of A-listers, it’s fair to say Marco Verratti likes a challenge. That was his miracle.

Unlike his elder brother, Marco looks very much like his father, Fabrizio Verratti in terms of physical appearance.
Fabrizio played as an amateur midfielder and retired in his 30s due to career frustrations. His career stopped at Chieti, which was at the Serie D level at that time.
After failing to succeed in football, Fabrizio Verratti went into carpentry. Marco his son helped his carpentry business with millions of Euros.

Today, Stefano Veratti is into a big-time agriculture business, thanks to his little brother’s monies.
Stefano is known to have more than 80 hectares of land on the Italian plain. He is one of the largest Italian growers of wheat, corn and beets.

The Love of his life Laura is said to be the brain behind his nickname “Gufetto” which is Italian. This means ‘Little owl.” in English. This is a nickname that Verratti carries with pride.
