Barely after the sad death of Emiliano Sala, FOOTBALL saw itself mourning the loss of another star as it was confirmed that Jose Antonio Reyes had died.

Reyes died at the age of 35 on the 1st of June 2019 following a car accident in what was termed “A Traffic Collision“.

The sad event happened on his country road- A-376, a road linking Utrera with Seville, Spain.

According to TheSun, Reyes was killed in his car alongside his cousin Jonathan Reyes after his vehicle had a collision and then busted into flames. According to a close source, Reyes died driving off an embankment.

Actual Cause of Jose Antonio Reyes’ Accident:

According to Spanish Police Authorities, Jose Antonio Reyes was driving at more than 135mph (220kmph).

This exceeded Spain’s speed limit of 75mph/120kmph. His inability to escape an embarkment caused the accident and his death.

Painfully, his death happened in the 2018/2019 UEFA Champions League Final’s day between Tottenham and Liverpool.
