Reyes died at the age of 35 on the 1st of June 2019 following a car accident in what was termed “A Traffic Collision“. The sad event happened on his country road- A-376, a road linking Utrera with Seville, Spain.
According to TheSun, Reyes was killed in his car alongside his cousin Jonathan Reyes after his vehicle had a collision and then busted into flames. According to a close source, Reyes died driving off an embankment.

According to Spanish Police Authorities, Jose Antonio Reyes was driving at more than 135mph (220kmph). This exceeded Spain’s speed limit of 75mph/120kmph. His inability to escape an embarkment caused the accident and his death.
Painfully, his death happened on the 2018/2019 UEFA Champions League Final’s day between Tottenham and Liverpool.
