During his active career playing days, Simone mirrored the style of his older brother Filippo, and he even drew comparisons with Paolo Rossi.

He was known for his height, speed, and uncanny knack for leading defenders into offside traps and scoring goals. Today, Simone has successfully transitioned from a prolific striker to one of the most respected football managers in Italy.

In our time writing the stories of football managers in the beautiful game, we found that we haven’t written a lot about Italian managers.

The truth is, not many football lovers have read Simone Inzaghi’s Biography, which is super exciting. So, without further ado, let’s begin.

Simone Inzaghi Childhood Story:

For starters, in his Biography, the Italian manager bears three nicknames – “Inzaghino”, “Almanacco”, and “Spiaze.” We’ll tell you the origins of Simone Inzaghi’s nickname later in this Bio.

The Italian manager was born on the 5th day of April 1976 to his Father, Giancarlo Inzaghi and Mother, Marina Inzaghi, in Piacenza, Emilia-Romagna, Italy.

Simone Inzaghi arrived in the world as the second son of his parents. He has no sister, and he is one among two boys (himself and a brother) born to the blissful marital union between Giancarlo (his Dad) and Marina (his Mum). Now, let’s introduce you to Simone Inzaghi’s Parents.

Growing-Up Years:

It is no longer news to many football fans that Simone is the younger brother of the Great  Filippo Inzaghi.

Both siblings who turned Strikers were raised by their parents in the Italian village of San Nicolo. This place, where Simone grew up, is situated in Piacenza, a town and city in the comune in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy.

From the onset, there has always been a relationship between Simone and Filippo, a bond which no one could understand.

First, people saw them as twins because of their likeness in wearing similar clothes and getting the same haircut. Filippo, who is three years older than Simone, never allowed his little brother to wander alone in the dark.

The Inzaghi siblings, Simone and Filippo, sharing a moment in their childhood hometown of San Nicolo, Piacenza. Their close bond, reminiscent of twins, is unmistakable in their matching attire and hairstyles, a testament to their togetherness.

For Simone Inzaghi’s parents, especially his mum, raising a home filled with boys required some extra hands to help clean. Such extra hands are needed, especially when their parents are often tied with going to work.

Even when her boys were mature enough to leave home for their careers, Marina ensured she made housekeepers available for them.

When Simone and Filipo were much younger, their Mum, with their grandmother and a house help, did the cleaning for them.

Once upon a time, Marina Inzaghi once decided to take full responsibility, limiting the role of their grandmum and house help.

To this day, she never gets tired of helping her boys, even as grownups. Because Filipo has the habit of hardly going to the supermarket, his Mum (when available) does the shopping for him, including his laundry.

Simone Inzaghi’s Early Life (Football):

Both legendary football brothers, born to Giancarlo and Marina, have lived and breadth the game since their boyhood years. In fact, Simone and Filippo found a passion for the beautiful game right from the moment they could walk.

Together, both Inzaghi Brothers (who were inseparable) began playing football in the province of Piacenza. Today, we know them as adults who have embarked on life as soccer coaches.

As a child, his friends call Simone an encyclopedia thanks to his intelligence, which is far bigger than his age. Why did they call Simone an Encyclopedia?… it is because he memorized and could call the names of all Italian League players – from Serie A to Serie C.

With Pippo as his best friend and brother, the boys had these long football challenges in their grandfather’s courtyard. Gino had no issues with seeing his grandsons play their football (sometimes, a ball which was made with rolled-up socks) with their bare feet.

When they were tired of football, they would still hardly separate, always bonding together. In this case, reading a newspaper.

One day, an eight-year-old Simone went in hard on the ball (in the wrong direction) and broke his foot. Shortly, he recovered, and with his strong mentality and desire to follow in his Dad’s footsteps, he joined the Piacenza youth academy.

It will interest you to know that by the time Simone was eight, he was captaining his elder brother (Filippo) in the village football team.

Truth be told here,… He and Filippo’s talent for football didn’t come naturally or just fell from the sky. Simone Inzaghi’s Dad, Giancarlo, was the instigator, the man who transferred the passion of football to his sons.

Yes, it would interest you to know that Giancarlo was a professional footballer – we’ll tell you more about that as we progress with this Bio.

At the time Giancarlo Inzaghi played football with the local Italian club, Libertas Piacenza; he always wanted his first son (Filipo) to accompany him to training. Soon, Simone (who is the subject matter of this Biography) joined the football bandwagon. He began escorting his Dad to training, and, in no time, the boy began aspiring to become a professional. We’ll tell you how the career of the Italian football manager unfolded as we proceed with his story.

Simone Inzaghi Family Background:

We’ll first discuss Giancarlo and Marina’s occupations in telling you facts about his household. Let’s start with Simone Inzaghi’s Mother. Our research reveals that Marina is a professional accountant. In fact, she is mostly known as a career woman who decided to abandon her job so she could devote 100% of her time to raising her boys, Filipo and Simone.

Earlier, we told you that Simone Inzaghi’s Father is a retired professional footballer. It is pertinent to note that Giancarlo Inzaghi did other jobs (in the Italian textile industry) to keep his family going. Our findings reveal that Simone’s Father once worked with Zucchi Bassetti. This is a textile company that was later acquired by the Great Italian Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

With substantial income from their jobs, Simone Inzaghi’s Parents operated a comfortable middle-class home. Their family home is, to this day, situated in San Nicolò, just a few kilometres from Piacenza.

In that house, the lower basement floor was completely dedicated to Filipo and Simone. And in that house exists a collage that occupies the entire wall and clippings of trophies won by the brothers – Simone and Filipo.

Indeed, in the home of the Inzaghis, there exist many memories of the past that tell the story of the former Italian Strikers. This is similar to the home of Thorgan and Eden Hazard, whose parents (both retired footballers) have a museum of their trophy collections.

These days, when Filipo and Simone go to their childhood home to sleep over, they would settle in their own rooms. For many years, their parents (Giancarlo and Marina) have been the guardians of their rooms. They, on the other hand, often travel in a week’s vacation to Auronzo di Cadore to visit Simone.

And in another week, Giancarlo and Marina would journey to Moena (Comune in Italy) to see their eldest son, Filippo. Then, during festive celebrations, the entire Inzaghis would gather together as a close-knit family. When they gather, they would most times talk about football in a calm and judicious manner.

Simone Inzaghi Family Origin:

Data available from Transfermkt reveals that the former Lazio coach holds only Italian nationality. Both of Simone Inzaghi’s Parents (Giancarlo and Marina) are bona fide Italian citizens.

Regarding the part of Italy where the coach’s family comes from, our findings point to the village of San Nicolo, just outside Piacenza.

According to the Italian National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT), San Nicolò (where the Inzaghis come from) has around 6,500 inhabitants. In that village, the home of Simone and Filippo, is often viewed as a museum, thanks to its outstanding reputation in football.

Simone Inzaghi Ethnicity:

Just like Massimiliano Allegri and Antonio Conte, Simone joins a majority of Italians of Southern European descent who share a common ethnic and cultural background. He identifies with Italy’s most popular ethnicity, which is primarily Italian.

Simone Inzaghi Education:

In the area of schooling, Giancarlo and Marina Inzaghi had a well-laid-out plan for their children.

Even though Simone and Filippo aspired to become footballers, there was another profession that was being looked at, which required years of schooling. Do you know?… Marina wanted both of her two sons (Filipo and Simone) to become medical doctors.

Unfortunately, the wish to have two male Doctors in the Inzaghi family didn’t materialise. Both Simone and Filippo went to school, and they never abandoned their education for football.

In the end, Simone and Filippo read the same course, and they both earned bachelor’s degrees in accountancy. Let’s not forget that Marina Inzaghi (their Mum) also studied accountancy.

Career Buildup:

Even though they were good students at school, both Simone and Filipo had football in their heads. It was their Dad, Giancarlo Inzaghi, who had put football in their head since the days he took them to training and to the Stadio Leonardo Garilli (Piacenza’s stadium).

Back then, Giancarlo Inzagh would drive 5 kilometres by car from their home in San Nicolo to watch football games. For an excited Simone and Filipo, the enjoyment of that felt like they were going to see Real Madrid.

After each match, the boys would wait to see if they can take a photo with Armando Mulinacci, who was the number 9 striker for Piacenza.

Each time Simone and Filippo get the opportunity to take a photo with Mulinacci, number 9, it would appear to them as if they had just embraced the Legendary Alfredo Di Stéfano.

Most times, after visiting the stadium and playing local football outside, they would continue back at home. Back then, for Simone and Filippo, there was this long football challenge at their grandfather’s (Gino’s) courtyard. They mostly did that on barefoot, with their ball made up of rolled-up socks.

Simone Inzaghi Biography – Football Story:

As children, Filippo carried his little brother along, and they always looked after themselves. Both boys began their football adventure on a local field, just 6 kilometres from the Garilli stadium (the stadium used by Piacenza Calcio 1919).

Being the elder, Filipo was the first who (in the year 1982) began his career journey with the San Nicolò local football team. Simone learned from his big brother while there, and he waited for his own time to join him at the academy. Filippo played at San Nicolò for three seasons before transferring to Piacenza Calcio 1919.

In the year 1985, destiny brought the Inzaghi brothers together at the Academy of Piacenza Calcio 1919.

Simone Inzaghi joined his older brother’s club, and they both began to blossom together. After the day’s football was over, the brothers would go on to challenge each other with the ball.

Although Simone Inzaghi once captained his big brother (when he was 8), it was Filippo’s career that moved faster. After becoming a professional footballer with their local team (Piacenza), Filippo’s career took him to the Italian Serie C team, Leffe, who played their football in the Bergamo area.

Simone, on the other hand, continued to tour the North of Italy, accepting loan transfers to Carpi, Novara and Lumezzane.

Playing his football in the above club (via loan) didn’t produce desirable results for Simone Inzaghi. At that time, his big brother, Filippo, was already flying with a Juventus.

Do you know?… The Juventus team that Filipo played for had the likes of Antonio Conte, Thierry Henry, Didier Deschamps, Edgar Davids and the great Zinedine Zidane.

At this time, young Simone had not achieved his breakthrough. He (through loan transfers) continued to tour northern Italy with six teams before getting a big transfer.

Simone Inzaghi Bio – Road to Fame Story:

At last, the God of Football smiled on Simone, and his career struggle in the Italian third division came to an end. Things began to change when he scored ten goals in his loan move with Brescello.

When Simone’s goals increased to 15, he earned himself a call from Sven-Göran Eriksson to join Italian Serie A Giants Lazio.

Simone Inzaghi joined a Lazio team, which had stiff competition and intense pressure to get results. The youngster who began his career with hometown club Piacenza found himself in a team that had players like Roberto Mancini, Marcelo Salas, Christian Vieri, Dejan Stanković and the Great Pavel Nedved.

Even though there was competition with the above Strikers, Simone Inzaghi managed to get playing time, including scoring some great goals for Lazio.

Thanks to the rotational policy of manager Sven-Göran Eriksson, he excelled in a Lazio side packed with top-quality strikers. Now, let’s show you a video of some of Simone Inzaghi’s goals with Lazio.

Simone Inzaghi appeared in 22 matches (out of 34) in S.S. Lazio’s highly successful 1999–2000 season.

Do you know?… He was part of the Lazio side that won the domestic double that season, winning both the Coppa Italia and Scudetto. Simone’s success didn’t end there, as it continued in subsequent seasons.

In further season, his nine goals in 11 games also helped Lazio to the Champions League’s quarter-finals.

Once upon a time, he scored four goals in a single match against Marseille – on the 14th of March 2000. Thanks to that, Simone equalled the competition record which was held in 1992 by the Great Marco van Basten.

National Team:

The Inzaghis brothers are known to be fast Strikers, both capable of playing on the edge of the offside trap.

Simone, who helped Lazio conquer six trophies, got called to the national team to join his big brother. It got to a time when the two brothers became the best Italy national team had to offer in attack.

Simone Inzaghi Biography – Road to Managerial Success:

Following his retirement from the beautiful game in 2008, Lazio allowed Simone to remain with them.

During that time, the retired striker began studying to become a professional football coach. For almost a decade, Simone did his coaching duties by managing Lazio’s Allievi and Primavera teams.

On the 3rd day of April 2016, Simone got his first breakthrough in his coaching career. He got appointed as Lazio’s senior team coach only on an interim basis following the sacking of Stefano Pioli. After some time, the club hired the services of Argentine manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Truth be told!… It surprised Lazio fans to see Marcelo Bielsa quitting his job as Lazio’s Boss two days after being appointed. Following the Argentine coach’s action, in what Lazio called a breach of contract, the club made a decision. Their former Striker, Simone Inzaghi, was told to replace Marcelo Bielsa, this time on a permanent basis.

In his first season, Simone guided the club to win the Italian Cup and achieve fifth place in the Serie A League table.

The following season also started on a high note as Inzaghi’s Lazio team defeated Juventus to win the Supercoppa Italiana. Winning the Coppa Italia title and a Champions League qualification followed in the 2018/2019 season.

When Simone Inzaghi led Lazio to reach the round of 16 in the 2020–21 Champions League, he became one of the most wanted managers in Europe. In May 2021, Lazio confirmed that Simone had officially left the club to join Inter Milan.

In his first season as Inter’s Boss, Simone Ingazhi deployed his tactical coaching to great use. He guided Inter to win the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana. He went on again to secure the Supercoppa Italiana in the second season, as well as guiding Inter to another Coppa Italia final.

One of Simone Ingazhi’s notable achievements as a Manager was getting the Nerazzurri into the 2022/2023 Champions League final. Following a memorable knockout phase, Inter qualify for the UCL final after defeating their local rivals, AC Milan. The rest, as we say, is now history.

Simone Inzaghi’s Wife and Children:

Let’s talk about Gaia Lucariello. She is Simone Inzaghi’s wife. Regarding her occupation, Gaia Lucariello is an entrepreneur in the fashion sector. Simone has revealed that he is lucky enough to meet Gaia, the woman who made him fall in love again. Both lovers began their relationship shortly after Simone stopped playing.

The retired Lazio Striker has three sons from two women (Gaia and Alessia). And their names are Tommaso (from Alessia), Lorenzo and Andrea (from Gaia). Simone Inzaghi’s first son, Tommaso, has the famous actress and tv presenter Alessia Marcuzzi as his mother.

You might ask, who is Alessia Marcuzzi? Simone Ingazhi was initially married to the famous actress before their divorce in 2004. Years after their divorce, he began dating Gaia, who is a friend of Alessia.

Lorenzo, his second son, was born on the 14th of April 2013 to his mother, Gaia Lucariello. The same goes for Andrea Inzaghi, who was born to Simone and Gaia Lucariello. Andrea’s birthplace is at the Mater Dei clinic in Rome.

Gaia Lucariello and Simone Inzaghi celebrated their wedding in 2018. Their relationship lasted for about five (2013 to 2018) years before the lovers decided to tie the knot. It was revealed that Alessia Marcuzzi was at Gaia and Simone’s wedding.

Inzaghi and his beautiful wife, Gaia Lucariello, got married in the Amorosa church located in the Castello Banfi estate. This estate is in Montalcino, among the Brunello vineyards, in the province of Siena, Tuscany, central Italy.

Gaia and Simone’s wedding was celebrated by Don Vittorio Trani. He is the popular spiritual father of Lazio and also the chaplain of the Regina Coeli prison. On that day, the bride (Gaia Lucariello) arrived in a carriage drawn by two beautiful white horses.

Alessia Marcuzzi lived a few meters from the married couple, and surprisingly, she is said to be one of Gaia’s best friends. For Simone Inzaghi, there was no dilemma in his decision to invite Alessia Marcuzzi to his wedding with Gaia Lucariello.

The two former lovers are still friends, and both see themselves as extended family, considering they have a son together (Tommaso). Also, the decision to invite Alessia was a demonstration of good relations between Allessia’s family and that of Simone.

Gaia Lucariello and Simone’s wedding was witnessed was his brother, Pippo Inzaghi, who was coaching Venice at that time. There were more than 200 guests, including the Biancoceleste president Claudio Lotito.

About Simone Inzaghi’s Ex-Wife:

Ten years after Alessia Marcuzzi and Simone went their separate ways, she got married to Paolo Calabresi Marconi. She and Paolo celebrated their wedding in December 2014. Alessia Marcuzzi has two children – a daughter named Mia (born to Francesco Facchinetti) and Tommaso (born to Simone Inzaghi).

Alessia Marcuzzi’s love for her children remains unchanged. Indeed, there is no better way to show that than happily going to attend her ex’s wedding. When Gaia Lucariello announced the birth of her son, Andrea, Alessia Marcuzzi was one of the first people to send best wishes.

Marcuzzi is also on good terms with her Ex, Francesco Facchinetti, both of whom are parents of Mia, their daughter. Over the years, Alessia has shown that she knows how to go further to manage relationships with her exes and their companions, which is for the good of her children.

At the time of writing this Bio, Alessia’s first son, Tommaso Inzaghi, is nearing a full adult, and he is rounding up his studies in London. Both she and her ex-husband (Simone) are wonderful parents who have helped protect their son from excesses or from their surname.

Tommaso Inzaghi is mature and knows he has famous parents. Again, Tommaso knows he must protect his surname and not fall into any trap.

Personality:

Simone is someone who has admitted to having made some mistakes in his early coaching career. Despite being a professional, he admitted to having done some silly things, like making a goalkeeper take a penalty to make the score 3-0 in the 90th minute of a match.

Regarding the above, Simone Ingaghi learnt that there is no need to humiliate an opposing goalkeeper that way. He always appeals to his players to make the best of their careers, as such moments would never come back, especially when retirement comes.

The above statement sounds like a regret for the former Lazio Striker. Why is it that?  Simone sees the ages between 28 and 33 are the best years for a professional footballer. But unfortunately, he didn’t enjoy those years because of back problems, which forced him to retire in his early 30s.

In fact, Simone never enjoyed the farewell of his playing career, and that still torments him. On a personal note, the Inter Milan manager hates telling lies, something he can’t stand and believes can’t make one get far in life.

Words from his best friends:

To better understand the person behind the coach, you’ll need to meet with his best friends (Corrado, Davide and Marcello) with whom he shared his childhood. In the words of Marcello;

If someone is surprised by his Lazio performance, then that person is wrong:

You always have to expect everything from simone as he has no limits.

Even as a child, simone was an encyclopedia. he knew all the league players one by one, from Serie A to the SERIE C.

Simone never forgets his best friends, as he once invited them to watch his matches, where (the coach) would be on the bench, and they, in the stands. Sometimes after matches, they’ll all return together to San Nicolò. On a sheet of paper, Simone once drew them the tactic with which he put his Strikers down to prevent his opponents from starting from behind.

Another of Simone Inzaghi’s best friends, Davide, added;

He is a real hammer, and you can understand that from how he acts on the bench. Simone has the ability to create a great relationship with his players, and he always asks for the maximum and loves to joke and keep morale high.

Giacomo has no doubts:

Simone is special, and his players always follow him. Luis Alberto has become one of the best in Serie A because of Simone ”.

Now, a Final comment from Marcello:

“The miracle of this Lazio is all about Simone Inzaghi. The likes of Francesco Acerbi was a player he wanted at all costs, Luis Alberto and Correa were also two of his discoveries. Now, Isn’t that a phenomenon?”

Regarding Simone Inzaghi Lifestyle, our findings reveal he has always lived a decent life, with no show off of wealth such as cars. The Italian manager still holds on to his favourite food – from tortellini to cannelloni, lamb dhansak and Wonton Soup. Marina, his mother, likes to bring him and his brother one or two of these food for Sunday lunch. In her words;

Simone Inzaghi Family Life:

The Italian football manager hails from a traditional household, one that has his Mum and Dad spending a lifetime together. Their footballing home is close-knitted and bounded by love. Now, let’s tell you more about Giancarlo, his wife, Marina and their first son, Filippo.

Simone Inzaghi Mother:

Mamma Marina celebrates her birthday every 8th of May. He once told Gazzetta, in an interview, that her first son, Filippo, was born when she was 22. Following his birth, she, for a while, continued her career job in accountancy. At some point, Marina, while working, had the help of her Mother and housemaid, looking and taking good care of baby Filipo.

One day, Marina Inzaghi suddenly became jealous and said to herself;

‘Oh no, I should be with my son … not someone else’.

Because of the strong desire to spend time with her two sons, Marina Inzaghi decided to quit her career job in accountancy. Since then, the proud Mum of the Italian Football Legends (Filipo and Simone) has remained dedicated to her family.

Simone’s Mum is often called Mamma Marina. Naturally, she is very shy and has only agreed to go on Television once. Marina once had an interview in Bologna when her son, Filippo, played for Juventus.

Her favourite football memory came at a time her second son, Simone, lifted the 1999-2000 Serie A trophy with Lazio. At the time, Marina Inzaghi was so sorry for her first son, Filippo, who lost that same trophy with Juventus.

In that 1999-2000 season, Lazio topped the Serie A table with 72 points against Juventus, who had (71) a point shorter. The truth is, there couldn’t be more than one winner, and Marina is proud of what her two sons have achieved in football.

Simone Inzaghi Brother:

Pippo, as he is nicknamed, refused offers from Man United and Chelsea during his playing days. Reacting to why he refused to go play and live abroad, Filippo Inzaghi once said;

‘My mum knows how to cook the right food for me. If I lived abroad, I woun’t be able to enjoy her meals.’

Unlike his little brother, Filippo is more active and popular on social media. He is the one who appears to have a better reminiscence of their sweet childhood years. Big Brother Pippo holds the view that life couldn’t have given him a better brother than Simone.

From a career point of view, SuperPippo had more victories and achievements than his little brother. Winning the 2006 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Champions League (twice) was his biggest achievement. Pippo said goodbye to his career in 2012.

To this day, Filippo Inzaghi is considered by many as one of the best Italian Strikers to have ever played the game.

Despite being rivals in their playing days, the sons of Giancarlo and Marina have always believed in winning as Strikers and making a career in the beautiful game. Pippo and Simone Inzaghi both became football managers after quitting their roles as centre-forward. As football managers, the brothers talk to each other and often give themselves advice.

Simone Inzaghi Sister-In-Law:

Angela Robusti is the wife of Filippo. In terms of family relationships, she is Simone Inzaghi’s sister-in-law.

A look at her Instagram Bio reveals the fact that Angela Robusti is an entrepreneur and also a wedding planner. Furthermore, Filippo Inzaghi’s wife works at a company called LoveloveloveYouEvents.

As I write this Bio, both Filippo and Angela are proud parents of two children. Their first child, Edoardo Inzaghi, was born in the month of August 2021.

Edoardo received his baptism on the 28th of June, 2022. Emilia Inzaghi, their second child and daughter, was born in March 2023.

Simone Inzaghi Father:

Giancarlo, unlike his wife, Marina, loves to watch football matches (between Lazio and Juventus), which once had his sons as rivals.

Years ago, his wife, Marina, often became very nervous and preferred not to watch the TV each time Simone’s Lazio team played against Pippo’s Juventus. After the match ends, Giancarlo often gives a statement saying;

‘At least, if one of my sons’ loses, I can console himself with the fact that the other has won.’

Giancarlo Inzaghi was once a professional footballer, a man who put football in the head of his two sons. As recalled earlier in this Bio, he was fond of taking his oldest son with him during football training. Soon, it became obvious that Simone, his other son, had also inherited the game from their father.

These days, Giancarlo and his wife, Marina, remain the guardians of their son’s lodgings in their home. Back then, when their children were busy with football matches, Simone’s parents preferred to watch matches in separate rooms. And Giancarlo always receives a call from his children (Filippo and Simone) at the end of each game.

Simone Inzaghi’s Grandfather:

Gino is the granddad of the Italian football manager. Together with his brother, Pippo, Simone fondly remembers the long football challenges he used to have in his Grandfather’s courtyard. A challenge where both Inzaghi brothers played football barefoot with a ball made up of rolled-up socks. In that courtyard space, young Simone (who at that time was playing for Piacenza youth academy) once went in hard and broke his toe.

Simone Inzaghi Grandmother:

Maria, who has lived above 90 years, was the person who took care of little Filippo and Simeone when they were babies. At the time, Simone Inzagh’s Mum was still in her accounting trade. Maria once felt relief from pressure when her daughter suspended her job to join her in taking care of her grandchildren – Filippo and Simone.

EndNote:

Simone Inzaghi, the Italian professional football coach, was born to his Mother, Marina Inzaghi and Father, Giancarlo Inzaghi, in Piacenza, Italy. He arrived in the world on the 5th of April 1976 and grew up alongside a brother (Filippo) – with no sister.

Giancarlo, his father, was a former footballer who later began working at Zucchi Bassetti, a textile company. Simone Inzaghi’s Mum (Marina) is an accountant who abandoned her career shortly after he was born. As children, Filippo and Simone were looked after by their grandmother, Maria, and they played lots of football in their Grandfather’s (Gino) courtyard.

The Inzaghi family have their origins in the Italian village of San Nicolo, which is just outside Piacenza, in the prestigious Emilia Romagna region. When Simone and his big brother were kids, people perceived them as twins, as they shared likenesses for similar things.

Simone and his little brother lived football for passion, and they both began their career journey as Strikers. If their sons had not become professional football players, their Mum (Marina) would have wanted them to become medical doctors. However, Simone and Filippo followed in their Mum’s footsteps to acquire their accounting degrees.

As a little boy, Simone was initiated into pairing with his brother to accompany his father to football training. By the time he was eight, the future Inter Milan coach had begun captaining his older brother in their village soccer team.

Soon, the sons of Giancarlo and Marina grew into these tall and lanky dark-hair strikers. Filippo and his little brother developed a knack for scoring goals, especially from the offside trap.

Simone’s best memory as a professional was winning the 1999-2000 Serie A title with Lazio, as well as the UEFA Super Cup in 1999. As a coach, he achieved success with the Eagles (Lazio) by guiding them to win the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana (two times).

At the time of concluding Simone Inzaghi’s Biography, he has just led Inter Milan to their first-ever Champions League final since 2010. Do you remember?… That was the year Inter Milan won the Champions League with Jose Mourinho. In addition, he has guided Inter to winning (on two occasions) the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
