In other to avoid his son mixing up with bad friends, his father Mikhail took Fyodor to their home city soccer club, Sokol for registration.
Unfortunately, Fyodor Smolov wasn’t a fan of his home city soccer club (Sokol Saratov) where his father took him to begin his youth career.
His heart was with “Lokomotiv Moscow” located at Russia’s capital. This was where he dreamt of beginning his career.
He had dreamt of becoming the club’s member one day. Having known that there were no financial resources to make that happen, Fyodor Smolov continued with the club he didn’t support. His father’s decision had an adverse effect on his youth career success.

Again, in fall 2016, the Russian media reported the love rat had started dating Sofia Nikitchuk who was the 2015 Miss Russia winner.
Fyodor Smolov Family Facts:
Mother: Irina Smolova pictured below with her beloved son is the mother of Fyodor.
Fedor Smolov’s mother first publicly commented on the divorce of her son with model and TV presenter Victoria Lopyreva.
She admitted that her son’s heart was broken by his wife who took much of her time taking care of her career and not her husband’s emotional and personal needs.
Irina noted that both player and model have been through a painful breakup. She and Victoria had very warm relations, and the ex-daughter-in-law touchingly called her mother. In her words…
“In the three years that they were together, I built very good relations with her, it was so touching and flattering, when she called me Mom. Vika and I communicate in a completely normal way now”.
“I can not say, of course, but maybe they just were not able to save their relationship. For Fyodor it was hard enough: I think, he loved her. Maybe at some point, distance played a negative role.
When Fyodor is training at the training camp, Victoria is also busy making a career – she is a TV presenter and fashion model, she is successful, in high demand and her job requires a lot of effort. Somewhere, it turns out, it was the lack of time for Fyodor. He is someone who loves home comfort, attention. Perhaps that is why a girl who decides to be with him, must fit him”.
says Irina Smolova (Fyodor Smolov’s mother).
